The Advanced Safety Acceleration Program (ASAP) is Fennec Engineering's functional safety program for autonomous systems, robotics, manufacturing, automation, and physical AI. It connects the entire safety lifecycle, from hazard analysis to certified evidence, into one traceable system of record.

Your test results are in one tool. Requirements in another. The last engineering change is in someone's inbox, and the rest is in spreadsheets. None of it matters until the day you have to put a deployment in front of an assessor, a regulator, or your own legal team and prove it's safe. Scattered evidence doesn't hold.

ASAP is the path through that: one program across the whole lifecycle, so you do the work once and it holds up whether you're deploying a robot on a floor or an AI agent making decisions in software.

What is ASAP, and what does it cover?

Fennec's functional safety program. It runs the full V-Model (HARA, functional safety concept, requirements, reliability/FMEDA, and test management) with traceability tying every artifact to the next. The tools are TÜV-qualified as offline (T2) tools under IEC 61508-3.

Which standards does ASAP support?

IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 26262, plus ISO 12100 / ANSI B11.0, ISO 14121-2, the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, IEC 61511, SN 29500, and IEC 61496. See the Platform page for what each requires.

Is the Test Cell separate from the Platform?

Yes. The Platform is a subscription; Test Cell design and V&V is its own line, scoped to your test cases, facility, and testing needs. Both feed the same record.

We're partway through the V-Model already. Do we start over?

No. Fennec's team loads your existing artifacts (HARA, SRS, safety concept) so you get traceability from here on. Many teams start small, usually with risk assessment or reliability/FMEDA, before the full V-Model.
